بدأت حلواني إخوان كمشروع عائلي خاص قبل أكثر من ستين عاماً لصنع الحلاوة وكان يُعرف
آنذاك "حلواني" – بصانع الحلاوة – ومن البداية كان ما يميز منتجات هذا المشروع البسيط
الجودة العالية و الطعم اللذيذ ، الذي أضافته الوصفة السرية التي اشتهروا بها. وكانت
الجمال تستخدم لتدوير الأحجار لطحن حبات السمسم لصنع العجينة المعروفة اليوم بالطحينة
وبإضافة السكر والبهارات عليها صُنعت منها الحلاوة, وشُكلت في طبق شرقي لذيذ أصبح محل
ثقة وشهرة بين المستهلكين والمعروف اليوم بالحلاوة الطحينية.
في عام 1952م تحول المشروع العائلي الخاص إلى شركة مسجلة رسمياً ، وبدأت باستخدام وسائل
تصنيع وتوزيع عصرية في ذلك الحين مما أضاف نقلة نوعية إلى منتجاتها من حيث الشهرة في
جميع أنحاء المملكة ومن الجدير بالذكر أن أهم ما يميز منتجات حلواني إخوان أنها طبيعية
